Authenticating Email with DKIM in MoonMail

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is a standard signature that allows senders to sign their email messages to use those signatures to verify that those messages are legitimate and have not been modified by a third party in transit.

Long story short, is a signature that allows MoonMail to send emails on your behalf.

An email message that is sent using DKIM includes a signature header field that contains a signed representation of the message. An email client, like Google, receiving the message can decode the signature using a public key, published in the sender's DNS record, to ensure that the message is authentic. To set up the DKIM you need to add the CNAME records to your domain's DNS settings. MoonMail generates the records for you to add them to your domain DNS.

Even though DKIM signatures are optional. We encourage you to sign your email using a DKIM signature to enhance deliverability.
